A great way to start the day. French Toast is simply fried ‘eggy bread’ so give it a try. WATCH THE RECIPE VIDEO BELOW;
4 Tbsp Milk in a small bowl
1 Pinch of cinnamon in a small bowl
2 tablespoons butter in a small bowl
6–8 slices toast style bread (white)cut into halves (or triangles)
Fresh or canned fruit to serve e.g. Blueberries, peaches
Runny honey or Maple Syrup to serve
Mix 6 eggs and 4 tablespoons of milk in a bowl with a pinch of cinnamon. Mix well.
Heat a little butter in a non-stick frypan over a medium heat.
Pour egg mix into a shallow pan/dish. Dip bread into the egg mix coating both sides well
Put coated bread into fry pan and cook for 2 to 3 minutes on each side – or until golden.
Serve warm with fresh or tinned fruit and a spoon of yoghurt, or with sliced banana and runny honey or maple syrup.
