One of the best ways to enjoy eggs. A perfect way to start the day or enjoy boiled eggs for a simply delicious and filling light and easy dinner.

Ingredients

  • 1 egg

  • 1-2 slices bread – to toast

  • butter or spread

Directions

  • Put egg(s) in a saucepan and cover with cold water, place on the element and heat until the water starts to boil. Turn the element off. Leave the pot on the stove.
  • Set the timer to cook just the way you like them; As a guide, 3 – 4 minutes for runny eggs, 5 – 6 minutes for soft eggs, and 8 – 9 minutes for hard boiled eggs.
  • Toast the bread slices. Spread butter or margarine, and cut into thin strips to make the ‘soldiers’.(approx 4-5 per slice)
  • Serve in egg cups with toasted soldiers.
